Belallure's Diet services

Individualized Diet

At Belallure every body has its own profile and particular specifications. Through the medical screening, an individualized diet is prepared for every person. The diet is compatible with the alimentary habits of the person and weight loss is no longer starvation, it is just a modification of the lifestyle to live a healthier life.

In addition to practicing weight loss therapy, as a therapeutic dietitian, our medical dietitian provides specialist services such as in diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, pediatrics, renal disease, and cellulites.

The Body Composition Test

Once you visit the clinic, you have to perform the body composition test, in order to be able to determine your body composition.

The Medical Dietitian will explain to you in details the report that includes a nutritional evaluation by a description of the amounts of water, muscles and fat you have in your body.

In other terms, it gives you: the “Body fat mass”, “skeletal muscle mass”, ”Soft lean mass”, ”Body Mass Index (BMI)”,” the obesity degree”, “waist hip ratio” (WHR) and “visceral fat area” (VFA).

Every patient is graded according to the fitness score, and the comparison between the measurements show the weight loss evolution via the target weight, specified by the Medical dietitian.

In addition, the body composition TEST is the ONLY test that provides an accurate measurement for intestinal obesity (through WHR and VFA), which may be the cause of many metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.

Another important measurement is the Edema index. It shows the water balance and can help in determining some conditions of disease, nutritional deficiency and fatigue.

Muscle graphs show segments physical strength, which is a unique feature of this test.

As for children and adolescents, the measurements focus on the growth charts of the individuals under 16 of age. The Medical nutrition therapy for children consists of a nutritional advice for the parents on how to prepare healthy menus and snacks for their children.

The Calorie Analysis Test

The Caloric balance is like a scale !

The key to successfully managing your weight is balancing the calories you eat with the calories you burn.
Eating more calories than you burn leads to weight gain while eating fewer calories than you burn results in weight loss.
To remain in balance and maintain body weight, the calories consumed (from foods) must be balanced by the calories used (in normal body functions, daily activities, and exercise).

How do we know how much calories we really burn ?

When managing a patient’s nutritional needs, knowledge of resting metabolic rate is critically important for accurately assessing a patient’s unique nutritional needs.

At Belallure, the medical dietitian uses the indirect calorimeter test to determine resting metabolic rate (RMR) by measuring accurately oxygen consumption (VO2) in only a few minutes. Only the indirect calorimeter test used at Belallure can specify the amount of calories we really burn, on the opposite, while other tests can only specify the amount of calories in theory.
Your metabolism is comprised of resting metabolic rate (RMR), the number of calories your body burns each day with little or no activity. By measuring your RMR we are best able to determine the most appropriate calorie budget (how much food to eat) to help you achieve your weight management goal.

All individuals have a metabolic rate specific for their body.
The results are obtained immediately after the 10-minutes test.
Once the calorimeter test is done, every patient is provided with a full report including a menu plan, activity protocol as well as nutritional recommendations.

The latest technique used in the American program "the biggest loser" is available at our dietary clinic.

Food Intolerance by the Blood Test

You might love food, but some food might not love you !

Healthy food can have a positive benefit on your physical and mental well-being, equally it can have a negative impact on your health. Certain foods even healthy food can play a role in many diseases.

Many food intolerances are associated with an inappropriate immune response to a particular food.

A painless blood test can identify over 50 common foods that may be causing you unpleasant symptoms such as:
- Acne, eczema, itchy skin, rashes,
- Back and joint pains and cramping
- Chronic fatigue,
- Depression, anxiety, tiredness
-  Diarrhea, constipation, colic problems and irritable bowel syndrome
- Migraines, and headaches for no specific reason

If you have a problem in losing weight or if you have one or many of the symptoms mentioned above, it means you could be suffering from food intolerance.

Food intolerance is all about how your body’s immune system (the body’s natural defense) reacts to specific foods.

Food intolerances are believed to arise when certain, incompletely digested food particles enter your bloodstream and are treated as foreign substances, like bacteria or harmful bodies. It causes your immune system producing tailor-made antibodies, which attack the food in question.

It results in a chronic inflammation in the body which increases the symptoms associated with food intolerance mentioned above.

Would I be able to lose weight with this test?

The food intolerance test works differently than any conventional diet and it breaks the yoyo-effect.
It identifies the root of your problem. Some people experience weight gain or difficulty in losing weight despite eating balanced, healthy and often low-calorie meals, because they have food intolerance.

Once you stop the food that you are intolerant to, you will feel better and start losing weight smoothly.

Food Intolerance by the Urine Test

The quality of the food you eat affects your metabolism.

The urine test is your only way to know if you have balanced alimentary habits. Not only you will be able to detect what kind of food harms you but it shows also if you are in a good health or have the predisposition for developing diseases, such as CVD, diabetes, PCOS, etc.

Balancing the quality of your diet will help keep you healthier!

Every food you eat leaves a residue in the body after it is fully digested. The residue is of two types A and B.

And according to the type of the residue, your alimentary habits are considered healthy or not.

If you eat too many foods forming residue A more than residue B or vice versa, your body will suffer from toxicity in all of its tissues and cells, and thus it promotes many diseases.
We can balance the toxic level in your body and restore health by eating the appropriate foods.

Your personalized results include dietary change recommendations as well as vitamin and supplements that are uniquely suited to you, based on the foods that are suggested to be eliminated from your diet, which are as well uniquely personal.

In addition to delivering a meaningful wellness benefit to you, this testing is also positioned as a weight loss plan:
The Urine test for food intolerance allows you to know which kind of food can make you ill and is blocking your metabolism. It is used to determine a menu plan for achieving goals related to weight loss, gain or maintenance.

What is a Detox Diet?

Detox, short for detoxification, is the body's natural, ongoing process of neutralizing or eliminating toxins from the body.
Many of the chemicals we ingest daily through food, water, and air can become deposited in fat cells in our bodies.
Toxins include pesticides, antibiotics and hormones in food, chemicals from food packaging, household cleaners, detergents, food additives & artificial sweeteners, heavy metals, pollution, drugs, and cigarette smoke, processed Foods, Saturated and Trans Fats
The cumulative load of toxins may lead to illness and has been linked to hormonal imbalance, impaired immune function, nutritional deficiency, and an inefficient metabolism. Signs are thought to include indigestion, poor concentration and sluggishness, headaches, bad breath, fatigue, poor skin, and muscle pain.

Why you should do the detox diet?
