Medical & Beauty Services - Botox For men

Botox injections relieve muscle tension smoothening wrinkles, and providing a rejuvenating effect. It is used most notably for treating forehead wrinkles and smile lines but can also be used to rejuvenate the lower face & neck. It is one of the most commonly performed techniques, although its effects are only temporary and last for about 6 months.

The main objective of this treatment is to reduce wrinkles and fine lines without inhibiting muscle movement; we can assess the results of the wrinkles at rest. The muscle movement capacity is returned fully within 3 to 15 days after the procedure. The results of the first session range from 3 to 6 months, at the end of which injections may be renewed.

Patients should keep in mind that the objective of this treatment is to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles of the face; it is not intended to sculpt perfection. If patients have realistic expectations, they can expect great satisfaction from the results of this treatment.

The Botox injections can also be performed into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe underarm sweating (severe axillary hyperhidrosis). People having this disorder often suffer from difficulty in social situations.

When Botox is injected into the skin, the treatment affects the signal between the nerve endings and the sweat glands in the dermis. The botulism toxin binds itself to the nerve endings near the injection site and acts like a roadblock. It blocks the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, a chemical our nerve cells make to communicate with each other, and this disrupts the message sent from the nerve endings to stimulate the production of sweat.
